The global cruise-liner industry has been hit hard by Covid-19 outbreaks on various ships. A future demand contraction can be seen in the sharp decline in the stock prices of cruise companies. When the Titanic sank — and left a huge scar on the traveller psyche — it had a similar effect on cruise travel, but the industry bounced back.
