The National Capital Region is fast becoming the warehousing poster boy of India

Proximity to large consumption hubs in the country and its highways and peripheral-road connectivity, among other factors, give it an edge over other locations, including Bhiwandi. The pandemic has also tilted the scales in Delhi’s favour.

As e-commerce grows exponentially in the new world, a boom in warehousing is only inevitable. With online sales on a tear, companies are scampering to stock up on storage spaces to meet the surging demand. While Bhiwandi, on the outskirts of Mumbai, is the poster boy of Indian warehousing, new hubs are sprouting in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Co-operative Industrial Estate, Mahipalpur, Mathura Road, Samalka, Okhla, and Noida. With the policy expected in the next few months, government-owned land and Delhi’s old industrial areas, especially in North and North-West Delhi such as Naraina, are expected to be converted into warehousing locations.
