Within hours of arriving at her new office at North Block, India’s first female finance minister in almost five decades was busy fighting strong economic headwinds. As Q4 GDP growth dipped to 5.8%, India lost the fastest-growing large economy crown to China. Unemployment also hit
along with stamp-duty rationalisation will help clear some unsold inventory plaguing the real-estate space and provide some respite to NBFCs and housing finance companies.
