ICAI seeks auditor’s response on CSR fund use at Reliance-run hospital

Reliance says the complainant, a former employee whose services were terminated, has been indulging in mud-slinging and making baseless allegations against the company.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has written to the statutory auditor of Reliance Industries (RIL), seeking its response on a complaint filed by a former senior employee of a company-run hospital. The complainant, Sanjay Thakur, under Section 21 of the ICAI Act, has alleged misuse of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds by RIL, including at Dhirubhai
bad publicity to the Hospital.” Thakur continues to write to every possible authority — the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Financial Conduct Authority, UK, have been on the list.
