Imagine a driverless car spinning out of control in the heart of a town, or reams of conversations on private-messaging apps reaching the wrong hands. Worse, picture hackers stealing critical medical records, scuttling the remote monitoring of a patient, or a smart home getting burgled as the authentication sensors plugged to a superfast broadband network crashed due to a security
environment and can talk to the different pieces of software that power a 5G network. He adds that such policies must also ensure that they are implemented “at all points of a 5G network” — across IoT endpoints, data centres, and base stations — to secure the complete chain of data transmission. An auto-industry recovery appears far away. Vehicle-carrier companies are drastically scaling down.

Automobile-transportation companies are awash in debt, with mounting losses. A key pillar of the auto-sector supply chain, many of them face an uncertain future and are selling off their prime assets – trailers and trucks for carrying cars and two-wheelers. Maruti, Hyundai, et al. have a foggy view on demand. The way out: a tweak in the forecasting method

Automakers will have to be more innovative in terms of demand forecasts. Use of a scenario-based forecasting methodology for the next few quarters could help.
